Sometimes it is necessary to find out an opinion of team members regarding some solution, question etc. For example as a result of Brainstorming it can be elaborated few good solutions and only one of them has a chance to be implemented in practice. To define what solution is the best and suits majority of team members it is advisable to arrange quick voting and make decision according to voting results. The quick voting means that team members can give their grades to offered variants without need even to leave their working places. Summarized grade of each variant will be taken into account for best solution defining.
VIP Task Manager is team, task and time management tool which can be used for various purposes simultaneously. This groupware can be used to arrange remote voting within working team and to give users possibility to assess offered variants. To arrange voting you can use such method, you need to:

  1. start task management application
  2. switch to Task Tree mode and create task group for voting
  3. create a task there, add custom fields of list type (here you can give the range of possible grades, example: from 1 to 5) - one individual custom field for each team member
  4. create a custom field with formula to calculate the sum (or average value) of the grades
  5. duplicate the empty task (but with custom fields) as many times as many solutions offered for voting and then specify them - add one of the solutions being considering to notes section, as attachment, name etc., of each task, so voters can learn it
  6. ensure access rights for team members - now team members are able to give their grades
  7. each team member should use individual custom field, the sum or average value will be calculated by each offered solution
