Project management triangle

Project management triangle embraces key matters such as project Timeframes, maximal Costs allowed to be spent and the level of Quality required, which represent “corners” of this triangle. The idea of this triangle-based analogy is to explain how deep and strong mutual interrelations between these three aspects of project management are. Actually, this paradigm refers to constraints where you cannot change any of these matters (time, costs or quality) without serious influencing two others, so that the whole work scope may suffer. Usually project managers have very hard times while trying to find a good balance between time-cost-quality constraints to remain each of these points without serious deviations (trying to minimize negative impacts when some resources are reduced due to external reasons). This mentioned conception can be transformed into the major PM triangle of objectives – meeting project timelines, not overrunning the budget, and matching the quality (sometimes the terms “scope” is used instead of “quality”).
