Do you really need a new employee?


When making a decision on whether or not to hire a new employee, the managers usually carefully consider all pro and cons. You may probably need one or two assistants to help you with routine daily work. Or maybe sales team needs to attract a new sales person in order to increase sale of the core product. This process can be complicated and intimidating, and you as manager may be disoriented in making right decision for your company. The way to make right decision is to use performance indicators to measure performance and productivity of the existing staff members. KPI should be applied to assess both personal and group performance to track which processes are performed worse and whether they need additional workforce to be engaged.

Performance indicators will allow the manager to get a complete understanding of existing processes and reveal weaknesses in common workflow. For this purpose the manager can use VIP Task Manager software. It allows to build various KPIs and supervise employee performance. By using VIP Task Manager, the manager can use time and qualitative measures to track performance, procrastinations, workload and current progress. The report builder allows to create task reports which help gather necessary information to make right decisions on new employee hiring.

Action plan:

  1. Start VIP Task Manager
  2. To create key performance indicators, go to Tools - Custom Filed
  3. KPIs can be applied to both tasks and task groups to assess individual and group performance
  4. If you need to create task report, you can export task list view to Excel sheets, HTML or RTF file.
