In severe constraints of modern business a lack of time is one of the most important problems for the department head. It is caused by that the department head is required to solve a set of problems in the company at the limited factors of time and human resources. To get tasks completed in time, the department head should work hard and search for ways on optimization of working hours. There is a way which allows to optimize working hours and efficiently assign tasks among employees of company. It is effective delegation of powers.

It is the assignment of authority and responsibility to another person (normally from a manager to a subordinate) to carry out specific activities. The basic goal is creation of conditions for company existence and development of strong corporate culture and flexible structure. Managers should be capable to plan tasks and organize working hours so that the staff could archive objectives qualitatively and in the short test terms. Managers transfer the responsibility for the task as well as the responsibility that it will be executed in time and according to the certain standards.

Delegation gives the following advantages:

- For manager. He can be engaged in strategic problems of the company. Commitments on the manager will be decreased and the manager can concentrate on the strategic goal and it allows the company to develop dynamically. That's why current issues and tactical tasks must be assigned to subordinates and for the manager it is enough to get the task reports only.

- For personnel . Conditions for creative development of the staff and the increase of its working capacity are created. The employee begins to learn and increase his qualification. At the same time his level of confidence and communication is improved and this strengthens joint achievement of the purpose.

Effective delegation checklist

- For company . The company saves money thanks to proper assignment of tasks and its profitability grows because of economical distribution of resources.

When transferring the powers, definite kinds of works, projects, etc. are delegated. At the same time it is not recommend delegating innovations and risky decisions. When you delegate powers, be sure that the subordinate understood his new responsibilities and goal of delegation. Success depends on it.
