The difference between “project management events” and “event project management”:

Project management events are appointments on the project timeline, which aren’t produced directly by efforts of the project team, or which aren’t directly connected to output created by them. The dates and purpose of such events are usually predefined, or in other words the process of project management event planning is usually performed beforehand, on the phase of general project planning, but actual dates may vary due to some conditions. Event project management is the application of project management techniques and instruments to the arrangement and development of different public events. Project management and event management have much in common, so actually it is not strange when methodologies of projecting are applied to the organization of different concerts, conferences, festivals, marketing events etc. The objectives of the project management for events are focused on specifics and essentials such as defining the event purpose, conception, target audience, impact, carrying out logistics, coordinating administrative assistants, carrying out PR, analyzing post-event returns on investments and so on.
