How can team leader control the task changes?


While controlling task performance, a project team leader may need to know a history of all changes over a task. For example, the assigned employee could face certain difficulties which caused the task procrastination or changing the due date to a more realistic one. Also changes may show team leader if assigned employee did something wrong like setting a lower priority for a task or reassigning it to another team member. Task management software will bring additional control over task list of the team members within a project because task history functionality gives extra methods of controlling, tracking and reporting on current task status and the history of changes.

VIP Task Manager is a comprehensive task management tool which gives the project team leader the instruments for tracking and documenting history of task changes. In VIP Task Manager each task has attribute "Task history" where the software logs all modifications. In Task History Panel the team leader can watch all changes of a task and print out the task history. Also task history can be included into the task report. In Task History Panel the team leader can track exact time and date of task changes, the resource who made changes and description of the changes.

Action plan:

  • Run VIP Task Manager.
  • To see a task changes, select the task and go to Task History Panel.
  • To print out task history, press on "Print task history" button on the Task History Panel.
  • To document task history, you need to include task history into the task report by checking item "History" in report dialog window.
