Process filtration is an important mechanism of project management software that helps you quickly find necessary information on processes, projects, and tasks. This mechanism offers process, project, and task filters. By using these filters, you can review project information at any level. For example, if you want to track tasks and processes within a project, you can use task/process filter. If you need to review projects as a whole, project filter will help you.

The mechanism of process and project filtration becomes vital and indispensable when you run large-scale projects. As a rule, such projects have multiple tasks, processes and assignments so it won't be an easy work for you to track and report tasks and processes. VIP Task Manager will help you cope with such a challenge. This program has a built-in filter bar that allows tracking tasks, processes and projects. VIP Task Manager lets you filter tasks by many parameters like Name, ID, Assignment, Department, Task Group, Status, Due Date, Priority, and also user-defined parameters.

Action plan

  1. Run VIP Task Manager.
  2. Go to Task Tree view to create and organize projects. Use task groups to add subprojects.
  3. Go to Task List view to manage and track tasks.
  4. Go to Scheduler view to plan and schedule tasks.
  5. Use Filter Bar to find necessary tasks and projects.

Users can track time they spend on tasks both manually by entering actual/remaining task duration or adding time logs and automatically by using task timer that adds time logs when you pause or stop it.
