Use status manager software to build and share project status management reports



 
 

When you manage projects, you need to get status updates and use progress monitoring tools to have a clear idea of project performance and get the latest information for analysis. Status manager software allows tracking ongoing projects and sharing reports between project participants. It enables you to identify and clarify which tasks every team member performs, what deadlines of tasks are and whether current task statuses meet expectations. When you are at the final stage of your project, project status management reports will let review outstanding issues and pending tasks.

By using VIP Task Manager , a client-server program, you can create and share reports to make your projects more efficient. You can design reports in Excel format as well as in HTML and text formats. The program has a built-in Filter Bar to help you track completed and pending tasks. VIP Task Manager lets keep all project data in common database.

Action plan

  1. Launch VIP Task Manager
  2. To create a report in Excel or HTML format, you can filter tasks and go to File – Export View to Excel/HTML.
  3. To create a template-based report in text format, you can select required tasks, right-click on them and select Export tasks to RTF.
  4. To create graph view reports, you can select required tasks or task groups, go to Charts Panel and choose one of the five diagrams.

Users can track time they spend on tasks both manually by entering actual/remaining task duration or adding time logs and automatically by using task timer that adds time logs when you pause or stop it.
