In task management methodology a perfectionist is a person who performs his/her tasks with special care by ensuring that each task is perfectly completed. In some cases this is great if an employee does his to-do list perfectly and with great care. But there can be a big number of tasks and jobs the employee needs to complete within a short period. Then he needs additional time to be spent to check each task before proceeding with doing the next one. But this employee may have no time for checking the task at once, so as a perfectionist he has to postpone or even procrastinate all the next tasks. Therefore, the suggestion is that if you have dozens of tasks to do, you don't need to make sure each task is done perfectly and after that go over the next one.

In your everyday life you can VIP Task Manager to manage your tasks and to-do lists. You can use VIP Task Manager to cope with dozens of tasks and find time for checking the tasks. Through workflow editor you can customize task statuses and create new ones. For example, when a task is completed but not checked, it gets the status 'To be verified' or 'Put on hold', and you can set it aside while doing other tasks. You can proceed to perform the rest tasks and then back to the fist task to check it. In order to prevent task procrastinations and avert forgotten tasks, VIP Task Manager allows you to set up task reminders. If any task is overdue, the software will highlight it, so you can easily watch and complete.

Action plan:

  1. Start VIP Task Manager
  2. Go to Workflow Editor and create several custom task statuses (e.g. 'To be checked', 'Put on hold', 'Verified')
  3. Use Task List view to manage your to-do lists. You can plan tasks by due date and priorities
  4. Once a task is completed, set the status 'To be checked' and apply reminder in order not to forget to check the task
  5. Turn the 'Highlight overdue tasks' option on to detect procrastinated tasks in common task list
