Make sure you have the right people are assigned to appropriate tasks. In project management terminology this is called proper human resource assignment. When initiating a new project or building a team, you need to think it over carefully and consider talents and skills of each team member. Proper task and roles assignment is the one of the key factors of successful project fulfilment because each team member will know his duties and responsibilities. You should not keep someone in some job role just because he has been doing it for long time. What you should really do is to evaluate talents and professional skills of each employee and manage task assignments according to this evaluation. Otherwise, you may put someone in an area where they do not have much experience.

To align your employee with the tasks they are good at and make proper task assignment you can use VIP Task Manager . Action plan:

  1. Start VIP Task Manager
  2. To assess employee task performance, you need to use performance indicators. Go to Tools – Custom Fields and add a list of KPIs. You can add special formulas in custom fields.
  3. Evaluate task performance as much as you need. When it is finished, create task performance report. In Report Options window, just check for item “Custom Fields” to include KPIs in the report
  4. Analyze the report and make appropriate task assignments
 Set the list of responsibilities for each position of your staff
