Some employees within your company can sometimes or often work outside of the office. In this case they should be timely informed of all the tasks they are assign to. The issue of notifying of remote and on-site employee is important so the company should use task management software which allows to inform on-site employees about assigned task list by email.
VIP Task Manager allows to send tasks by email and receive notifications right in your email box. These capabilities make it possible to be out of office database and, however, to know ongoing task progress and to have task list in your hands. For example, you can create a task list for your on-site employee and send him task list. The employee can get this task list in his email box and print it out to have a hard copy. VIP Task Manager uses Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send tasks and notifications by email. You can adjust SMTP to inform all involved persons about task progress. In VIP Task Manager SMTP setting tool is Database Manager.
From your desktop:
- Start-Programs-VIP Quality Software-VIP Task Manager-Database Manager.
- Launch Database Manager.
- Go to SMTP tab.
- Check in "Enable E-Mail sending".
- Fill in all required fields:
- Sender name
- Sender's email
- Click on Test button to get your setting test ed.
- Click Apply button and close Database Manager
