Task planning
The lawyers and their assistants provide the company with legal advice and bring the most profitable legal solutions. In order to ensure a long-term business development of the company, Legal department plans its daily activities in the fields of taxation, property management, assets management, employment, personal legal advice, and other. Planning of legal advice process is based on accurate and up-to-date information about current activities of the company. Legal department should always be in course of the company transitions and operations in order to put corporate goals in compliance with existing legislation and prevent law infringement. For example, to guide the company through taxation issues, Department Manager needs to plan and assign appropriate tasks to the legal staff members. The tasks should have exact deadlines and proper execution order, so Lawyers and Paralegals will know what they must do first of all.

Task reporting
Task reporting and documenting are important elements of the legal advice workflow. Department Manager can use task reports to summarize the work done and track performance of each legal staff member. Without the status reports Manager wouldn't know work results and wouldn't be able to analyze progress of the legal services. With use of VIP Task Manager it is easy to create task reports in HTML file. Department Manager can customize HTML format reports by using Report Builder.

This tool allows to select which items are to be included in the report. For example, to track provided legal services by date and assigned resource, Department Manager can check such items as General, Assignment and Task History. Alternatively to HTML task report, Department Manager can also build task reports in Excel format. If Department Manager uses MS Excel in everyday work, it will be helpful and convenient to get task reports in this convenient file format.VIP Task Manager exports task list view to Excel file, so it will be easy for Department Manager to integrate task reports with spreadsheets in Excel files he uses every day.
