Step 4. Customizing travel agency tasks

The workflow of travel agency requires a flexible mechanism which enables to add specific attributes for tasks. For example, you may want to specify the way you get the orders from your clients. VIP Task Manager lets you add custom fields in the task list, register new orders, make calculation and define average values. By using custom field functionality you can cerate the following new fields: "Travel". This custom field has several values like "Vacation Travel", "Business Trip", "Cruise Travel" and "Packages&Specials". The custom field describes what a type of travel the client would like to get, and travel agent fills the field "Travel" with any of available travel. "Order #". When the client express his wish about what travel he looks for, the travel agent register a new order in the task group "ORDERS". "Value". The custom field "Value" show price of the order. Let's see how these custom fields are used. For example, a new client Mr. Michael Milton decided to spend his vacation on Caribbean . He talks to Travel Agent and discusses the best way to organize vacation. Travel agent offers possible variants and defines the price. When discussion is over and destination is chosen, Travel Agent creates a new task "Michael Milton" in the task group "ORDERS". In this task he fills custom fields "Travel" and "Value", and assigns the task to Accountant. Accountant gives the order number, fills the custom field "Order #" and starts to process the order. To calculate all orders of travel agency, you can use custom field "Orders Quantity". This custom field will be create for the task group "ORDERS" and give the exact number of orders available.
	The functionality of custom fields allows to add any columns to task list and groups to characterize activities of travel agency. VIP Task Manager offers flexibility and reliability in performing and managing tasks and processes. Filters allows you to find any order by custom field "Order #". Mathematical capabilities of custom field functionality allow to calculate minimum, average and maximum price of all orders.
